โพลี่ยูรีเทนโฟม เป็นสาร HCFC-141b พ่นให้เป็นโฟม โดยมีทั้งหล่อเป็นแบบแข็งแบบฉีดขึ้นรูป หรือพ่นบนพื้นผิวเป็นโฟมแข็ง(Rigid Foam) มีความแข็งแรง มีสภาพการนำความร้อน(K) ต่ำของโฟมชนิดนี้ต่ำมาก เนื่องจากภายในเป็นสาร HCFC-141b ซึ่งมีสภาพการนำความร้อนที่ต่ำกว่าอากาศในการผลิตฉนวนป้องกันความร้อนเพื่อการใช้งาน โดยมากต้องมีการหุ้มด้วยวัสดุที่หน่วงการไหม้ไฟ แต่พียูโฟมจะผสมสารไม่ลามไฟในตัวของมันเองโฟมโพลี่ยูรีเทนเป็นฉนวนประเภทเชลล์ปิด(Close Cell) จึงสามารถป้องกันความชื้นในห้องเย็นหรือหลังคารั่วได้ดีกว่า
2) P.S.FOAM(Polystyrene Foam)
โพลี่สไตรีนโฟม มี่การผลิตขึ้นมาใช้งาน 2 รูปแบบ คือแบบรีด(Extrude) และแบบหล่อ(Mold) แต่เนื่องจากโพลี่สไตรีนเป็นวัสดุเชลล์ธรรมชาติซึ่งสามารถไหม้ไฟได้ ดังนั้นในการนำมาใช้งานจึงต้องมีเปลือกหุ้มที่ต้านทานเปลวไฟได้ดีเช่น โฟมที่ใช้กับห้องเย็นต้องใช้แผ่นเหล็กประกบทั้งสองด้านเป็นต้น นอกจากนี้ยังป้องกันไม่ให้โฟมกระทบแสงแดดโดยตรงเพราะรังอุลต้าสีไวโอเลตจะทำให้อ่อนตัวลงเปลี่ยนสภาพได้ เป็นฉนวนประเภทนำเอาเม็ดโฟมขนาดเล็กๆ มาอัดเข้าด้วยกัน(Interconnecting Cell Insulation) ทำให้มีช่องว่างระหว่างเชลล์ ระหว่างเม็ดโฟมอยู่บ้างดังนั้นจึงไม่สามารถกันความชื้นได้จะมากน้อยขึ้นอยู่กับความหนาแน่นของโฟมเป็นหลัก
3) ELASTOMERIC FOAM
โฟมชนิดยืดหยุ่น หรือโฟมยางแบบขยาย(Expanded Rubber Foam) เป็นฉนวนที่มีความยืดหยุ่นได้ด้วยการฉีดให้ขยายตัวใน Mold โฟมชนิดนี้เป็นฉนวนประเภทเชลล์ปิด(Close Cell Insulation) มีเชลล์ชิดกันมากมีค่าการซับน้ำต่ำจึงมีค่าต้านทานการแทรกซึมของไอน้ำได้ดี จึงเหมาะกับงานที่มีอุณหภูมิต่ำ เช่น ในระบบท่อส่งความเย็นที่พอเหมาะ แต่ถ้าใช้ในอุณหภูิที่ต่ำเป็นเวลานนานจะทำให้หดตัวลงทำให้สภาพการเป็นฉนวนลดลง
4) P.E.FOAM (Polyethylene Foam)
